Benton badge 1At approximately 8:12 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2017, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to a wooded area off Interstate 30 for a report of a deceased body. During the course of the investigation, detectives found evidence of a possibility of an overdose.

BNPD DISPATCHERS RECEIVED 120 FIREWORKS COMPLAINT CALLS

DispatchlogoDispatchers with the Benton Police Department received 120 complaints regarding fireworks between June 25 and July 5. The usage of fireworks by the public was allowed between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. between July 3 through July 5 without being in violation of the city’s noise ordinance.
