BNPD COMMUNICATIONS SUPERVISOR’S CAREER WAS SPARKED BY A PRANK
A familiar face, and voice, has returned to the Communications Department of the Benton Police Department. Deanne Owen, who previously worked at the BNPD Communications Department from 2012 to 2014, recently returned and has been promoted to the Communications Department Supervisor position.

Throughout the month of October, officers and staff of the Benton Police Department, are encouraging people to speak out against domestic violence with the launch of the “If Your Partner Is Violent, Don’t Be Silent” initiative. The BNPD also reminds citizens that domestic violence is not just physical harm.
A minor-child passenger in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, has succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision, becoming the second life lost in the incident.
