BNPD PARTICIPATING IN HOLIDAY ‘CLICK IT OR TICKET’ CAMPAIGN
The Thanksgiving holiday is one of the busiest travel times of the year, when millions of Americans travel to spend time with friends and family. But more vehicles on the road means potential for more crashes and more fatalities.
Residents of Saline County dropped off more than 1,300 pounds of medications during the Saturday, Oct. 28 Arkansas Drug Take Back Day, which was called Operation Medicine Cabinet in Benton. Residents of Benton have dropped off more than 8 tons of prescription medications since the first Operation Medicine Cabinet in April of 2009.
To show gratitude to American Military Veterans who were willing to sacrifice their lives in order to protect our lives and freedoms, the Benton Police Department is launching the “Thank You for Your Service” initiative this month.
After the costumes and make up are put on, the kids will be ready to run out the door with thoughts of handfuls of candy, a few scares and lots of laughs, but don’t forget to stop to go over a few safety tips.
The Benton Police Department is pleased to announce their 19th year of participation in the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) grant program.
A familiar face, and voice, has returned to the Communications Department of the Benton Police Department. Deanne Owen, who previously worked at the BNPD Communications Department from 2012 to 2014, recently returned and has been promoted to the Communications Department Supervisor position.
