Evidence

When property or evidence is seized by an officer, they package it and submit it to the Property/Evidence Room overseen by the Criminal Investigations Division and Evidence Manager, Andrea.

Once received, the evidence is categorized and is either stored in the Property and Evidence Room, sent to the State Crime Lab, or it may go to court.
All evidence remains the responsibility of the Property and Evidence Room until it is no longer required and all retention schedules have been met.

After all requirements have been fulfilled, property/evidence is either destroyed/disposed of, auctioned, or returned to the owner per court order or department policy.

For questions regarding property/evidence, call 501-776-5947.
