Four Suspects Arrested for Vehicle Break-In and Theft

  On 10/3/13, at approximately 4:05 PM, officers were dispatched to the South Service Road at the East bound off ramp of I-30 for a report of breaking or entering.  Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim who informed officers their vehicle had been broken into and some items stolen.

    On 10/3/13, at approximately 5:15 PM, officers with the Benton Police Department Special Investigative Unit served a search warrant at 1512 Dixie Street.  

Benton Police Searching for Aggravated Robbery Suspect

On 10/2/13, at approximately 9:50 PM, officers took a report of an aggravated robbery that occurred at Arvest Bank (925 Military Rd.). The victim reported that at approximately 9:35 PM a suspect had robbed her at gunpoint and then fled the area.

According to the victim, the suspect approached her vehicle and displayed a pistol while demanding money. The suspect did not obtain any money from the victim, but did take some items from her before fleeing on foot.

On 10/2/13, at approximately 9:50 PM, officers took a report of an aggravated robbery that occurred at Arvest Bank (925 Military Rd.). The victim reported that at approximately 9:35 PM a suspect had robbed her at gunpoint and then fled the area.

According to the victim, the suspect approached her vehicle and displayed a pistol while demanding money. The suspect did not obtain any money from the victim, but did take some items from her before fleeing on foot.

Officer Observes Suspicious Subject that Leads to Felony Theft Arrests

  On 10/2/13, at approximately 12:50 AM, an officer observed a subject wearing all dark clothing riding a bicycle in the area of Lynnwood Drive.  Due to recent vehicle break-ins and thefts, the officer took notice of them and started following him.

GO PANTHERS!!!    We had another record crowd at the game this year with over 24,000 people in attendance.  Although we didn’t win the Salt Bowl, our team showed heart and determination and I commend our boys for a job well done.

 

Your School Resource Officers have been busy expanding their knowledge the past two weeks.  They attended the following training:  

*Improvised Explosive Device Awareness Class

*Firearm Instructor School
