Suspects Arrested for Illegal Narcotics and Prohibited Weapons

    On 10/28/13, at approximately 7:15 AM, officers with the Benton Police Department assisted agents with the United States Forestry Service, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office in executing a search warrant at an address on Hwy 9 in Paron.  

Saline County Rx Take Back Surpasses 2 ½ Tons

   Law enforcement agencies in Saline County took in 1,088.8 pounds of prescription medicine during Operation Medicine Cabinet VIII held on October 26th.  Agencies that participated were Alexander Police Department, Benton Police Department, Bryant Police Department, Haskell Police Department, and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.

Convenience Store Robbery Suspects Apprehended

    On 10/26/13, at approximately 2:44 AM, officers responded to Murphy USA (17305 I-30) on report of an armed robbery.  Upon their arrival, the clerk informed them a suspect indicated they had a gun and robbed the story of an undisclosed amount of money.  

Suspect Being Sought in Relation to Recent Armed Robbery Crime Spree Ring

  The Benton Police Department is asking for the publics help in locating a suspect involved with a recent home invasion armed robbery.  The suspect, Justin Ray (19 YOA), has a warrant for his arrest issued in relation to an armed robbery incident that took place on 10/20/13 at Fountain Lake Apartments.

Follow-Up Burglary Investigation Leads to Arrest

    On 10/22/13, officers responded to an address on Kyle Road in reference to a burglary.  Contact was made with the victim who informed officers that somebody had broken into their residence and stolen numerous personal items. 

Shoplifting Call Turns into Foot Chase and Drug Arrest

   On 10/23/13, at approximately 6:15 PM, officers responded to Wal-Mart (17309 I-30) on report of a shoplifting call.  Upon arrival, they made contact with store employees who informed them about two suspects stealing merchandise.
