Benton Attorney Pleads Guilty To Federal Drug Conspiracy-Related Charges

    LITTLE ROCK- Christopher R. Thyer, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas announced Dustin Dyer, of Benton, pled guilty before United States District Judge James M. Moody to the use of a cell phone to facilitate the commission of an offense of conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver methamphetamine.

Search Warrant Leads to Suspect Being Found in Secret Escape Hatch

  On 11/4/13, detectives with the Benton Police Department Special Investigative Unit (SIU) in conjunction with the SWAT team executed a search warrant at Bailey’s Trailer Park on N. Summit Road.  The warrant was in relation to a month long investigation of the delivery of illegal narcotics (methamphetamine) on a suspect, Joey Harrington (43 YOA).

Disturbance With Knife Results In Arrest

On 10/29/13, at approximately 7:49 PM, officers responded to a disturbance with a weapon call on Watts Road.  Upon their arrival, they made contact with the victim in the case who advised a suspect had assaulted him and attempted to stab him with a knife.
