SUSPECT CAUGHT IN RELATION TO BANK OF THE OZARKS ROBBERY

coin200On 5/15/14, at approximately 12:37 PM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to Bank of the Ozarks (1216 Hwy 35 N.) on report of a robbery. Upon their arrival it was determined a robbery had taken place and detectives responded to the scene.

PD-CrimeScenePic2On 5/12/14, at approximately 12:45 PM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to a burglary in progress on River Heights Drive. A suspect was seen in the area, but attempts to locate him at the time of the burglary were unsuccessful.   

 

SUSPECT FACES CHARGES RELATED TO KIDNAPPING AND AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

DavidOgden1On 5/9/14, at approximately 8:30 AM, officers from the Benton Police Department responded to an address on Fifth Street on report of a disturbance.  Upon their arrival, they made contact with two victims in the case who said a suspect kidnapped one of them and caused physical harm to both of them.

coin200The Benton Police Department recently received a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP), or Armored Rescue Vehicle (ARV), vehicle through the U.S. Military 1033 Program. The 1033 Program allows law enforcement to pay a small annual cost to be able to receive access to excess military equipment at no further charge to the agency.
