A suspect arrested in connection to shooting incident Monday in the parking lot of Academy Sports + Outdoors on Interstate 30 faces additional charges. A fourth person has also been taken into custody stemming from the investigation.
UPDATE: Officers have recovered the black Camaro suspected in the shooting incident. Detectives have located a victim and one other party involved. The white GMC double-cab truck is still being sought.

At approximately 2:08 a.m. Thursday, Officers were dispatched to the area of Military Road and Jameson Street in reference to a truck with a large storage tank stealing cooking oil from local businesses. Officers located the described vehicle on Highway 5 North and a traffic stop was conducted.

Detectives with the Benton Police Department/Saline County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit served a warrant at 3601 Bauxite Cutoff Road in Bauxite on Friday, Feb. 3 and arrested a suspect who was out on bond for multiple felony drug charges.
