BNPD OFFICERS TAKE ARIDE CLASS TO KEEP ROADWAYS SAFER

ARIDE 1 SMALLLLLLLLLLOfficers with the Benton Police Department participated in a program Monday that trains them to observe, identify, and articulate the signs of impairment related to drugs, alcohol or a combination of both, in order to reduce the number of impaired drivers and impaired driving related traffic collisions.

Officers located the described vehicle on Highway 5 North and a traffic stop was conducted.

JOHSNONAt approximately 6:40 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, 20-year-old Courtney Zyronne Johnson II escaped from Rivendell Behavioral Health Services in Benton after being transferred there by the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office. Johnson was last seen running behind Dogwood Lakes Apartments, which is located at 1907 Arkansas Highway 5.
