BNPD RESPONDS TO WELFARE CONCERN
Benton Police Department responded to a welfare concern call just after 7 p.m. Wednesday at a Drake Drive residence. After gaining entry to the residence, officers discovered a deceased adult male.
BNPD Criminal Investigations Division detectives have assumed the investigation. No foul play is suspected and no suspects are being sought.

Benton Police Department officers responded to a Gum Street residence just after 9 p.m. Saturday (April 13) in reference to a shooting. A female victim, age 51, suffered a single gunshot wound and was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition. After undergoing surgery, she is reportedly in stable condition.
Benton Police Department officers responded to Ralph Bunche Park just after 2:30 a.m.Tuesday in reference to a shooting incident involving an undetermined number of individuals. One male victim, age 20, was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Benton Police Department officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of Hyten and North Street just before 10 p.m. Saturday after a vehicle license plate returned with an active warrant from DeWitt PD. Upon probable cause search, over $1400 in cash was found on the person of 29-year-old Brian Stovall of Mabelvale.
