BNPD ISSUES UPDATE IN JANUARY PEDESTRIAN VS. VEHICLE FATALITY

Twenty-two-year-old Felicity Johnson, of Benton, turned herself in Wednesday to officers at BNPD in reference to a warrant stemming from a pedestrian vs. vehicle fatality accident that occurred January 12.

Officers responded to the North Service Road at McCright St. on that date and discovered the victim, 30-year-old Jacob Bridges, also of Benton. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

SUSPECT ARRESTED ON SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES

Catrell WallaceEighteen-year-old Catrell Wallace, of Bryant, turned himself in at the Saline County Jail early Monday morning in reference to felony warrants for Sexual Assault 2nd Degree and Tampering. The incident leading to these charges reportedly occurred during the early morning hours on January 1.

The identity of the male subject discovered early Saturday morning near the Military Road overpass has been confirmed and next of kin has been notified. He is identified as 37-year-old Calvin Eugene Jones, Jr., of Saratoga, Arkansas. The cause of death is still under investigation.

BNPD officers responded to the North Service Road at McCright St. just before 2 a.m. Sunday for a pedestrian vs. vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased male victim, 30-year-old Jacob Bridges of Benton.
