LAW ENFORECEMENT AGENCIES PARTNER IN DRUG TRAFFICKING ARREST
As a result of a 6-month narcotic investigation conducted by officers with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, Benton Police Department, and Arkansas State Police, with cooperation from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Little Rock District Office, two people have been arrested and face multiple drug related charges.
A record amount of prescription medications were collected at the Benton Police Department booths during Operation Medicine Cabinet XII on Saturday, April 30. The event was part of the 12th Statewide Drug Take Back day, which is now a nationwide on-going DEA prescription medicine take back initiative.
The duties of Benton Police Department officers and civilian staff are expansive with much of the focus on protecting citizens, but we are also here to serve the public. This month the BNPD initiative is “May We Help You?” to provide the public with multiple resourceful programs.
U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-Ark.) and U.S. Rep. French Hill (R-Ark.) will join the Benton Police Department for Operation Medicine Cabinet XII.
