Coroners from Saline and Lonoke County, and officers with the Benton Police Department, have a common goal – to severely diminish, if not completely end, infant deaths. On 7/4/16, at approximately 9:53 PM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the Ralph Bunche Park on report of shots possibly being fired in the area. Officers were unable to locate any evidence of criminal activity at the time and no suspects were named.

During the month of July, the Benton Police Department working jointly with the Bryant Police Department, Saline County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas Highway Patrol and the Arkansas State Police to enhance public safety and reduce traffic accidents.

Michael Cory Williams, 29, of Harrison was arrested this week by St. Francis County Sheriff’s deputies following a pursuit in which Williams was reportedly driving a vehicle stolen in St.

At approximately 4:01 p.m. Monday, Officers with the Benton Police Department made a traffic stop on Military Road and it was discovered the older model truck, which was recently spray painted black, had been reported stolen.
