In recognition of National Rail Safety Week, Union Pacific Railroad has partnered with agencies across the state to promote rail safety for drivers and pedestrians. BNPD officers will join Union Pacific representatives Friday, Sept. 28, in a ride-along enforcement effort.
Benton Police Department responded to a report of an unresponsive juvenile at a Hurricane Meadows residence at approximately 6:30 a.m. Monday. Upon arrival, it was determined that the juvenile was deceased. Criminal Investigations Division detectives arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.

Benton Police Department received numerous vehicle Breaking or Entering calls in the Heritage Farms subdivision Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. After a brief search, officers took two juvenile suspects into custody.

BNPD responded to a call of a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Military Road at approximately 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. Medflight was requested and arrived to transport one of the drivers to Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. The driver’s condition is unknown at this time.
