On 2/9/15, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to Ambient Minerals (705 Bird St.) on report of a burglary. Upon their arrival, they spoke with the business owner who reported that access had been gained to the business and some items had been stolen.

Officers with the Benton Police Department recently obtained a warrant for a suspect, Josh Tiner (26 YOA) of Haskell, in relation to a shooting incident that occurred on 2/16/15. Tiner was arrested on 2/20/15 and is charged with Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons (Felon).

Recently, officers with the Benton Police Department took a report of runaway juvenile, who was identified as River Williams (16 YOA).

On 2/16/15, at approximately 9:14 AM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to 611 N. Summit Rd. on report of a possible accidental shooting.
