BNPD: SUSPECT ARRESTED IN COUNTRY OAKS DISTURBANCE WITH WEAPON

Benton Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Country Oaks Road around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday in reference to two male subjects involved in an altercation. The disturbance became physical, and one subject suffered stab wounds during the struggle.

One of the two parties involved, 51-year-old Cleophus Belcher, of Benton, was arrested and charged with Battery 2nd, a Class D Felony.

The victim was transported for treatment with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
