BNPD: ARREST MADE IN TYNDALL PARK SHOOTING

BNPD responded to Tyndall Park on the evening of Sept. 20 for reports of shots fired stemming from a disturbance at the East entrance of the park among several individuals. Two adult victims suffered injuries and were transported for treatment. They have since been released.

Forty-nine-year-old Tonya Richard, of Benton, turned herself in Oct. 7 on the warrant stemming from this incident. She was charged with two counts of First Degree Battery, a Class B felony. Following the investigation, it is believed the involved parties were acquainted and that this was a targeted and isolated incident.
