DISTURBANCE WITH SHOTS FIRED LEADS TO THREE ARRESTS

BNPD responded to a call of disturbance with weapons in the area of Gray Street around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Detectives located and arrested a 17-yr-old male and charged him with five counts of aggravated assault for firing a handgun out of a moving vehicle. Two additional suspects were arrested on charges of domestic battery for their involvement in the disturbance.

James Higgins, 60, and Wendy Loquet, 38, both of Benton, were arrested for Domestic Battery 3rd and Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member and Domestic Battery 2nd and Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member, respectively. No firearm-related injuries were sustained by any parties.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
