OFFICER GRADUATES FROM LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING ACADEMY

Dumpling Collage SMALLLLLLLLLLLLLThe Benton Police Department congratulates Officer Brett Davidson upon graduation Friday from the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy (ALETA) in Camden, Ark. Before attending ALETA, Davidson served as a cadet at the department.

Davidson successfully completed a twelve week Field Training Course within the department prior to attending the academy. During the 480 hour academy session, he completed training in, but not limited to, defensive tactics, academics, practical exercises, firearms and physical fitness tests.

Davidson will be assigned as an officer in the patrol division.

ALETA was established in 1963 by the Arkansas General Assembly. The objective of ALETA continues to be “for the training and instruction of state, county, municipal, and other law enforcement officers”. Basic and specialized law enforcement training courses are taught at both ALETA locations (East Camden and Springdale) year round and as of 2011, over 15,000 new officers have been trained in 282 classes. ALETA continues its mission with training courses that are continuously revised and updated to provide students with the most effective and current training possible.
