UPDATE: Officers have recovered the black Camaro suspected in the shooting incident. Detectives have located a victim and one other party involved. The white GMC double-cab truck is still being sought.

About 2:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the parking lot of Academy Sports + Outdoors, 20790 Interstate 30, for a report of a shooting incident. Upon arrival the suspects had fled the area in a newer model black Camaro and white GMC double-cab pickup truck.
Evidence gathered at the scene by Benton detectives indicated at least one person may have sustained a wound during the altercation. The investigation is on-going.
