ThankAVeteranOfficers and staff of the Benton Police Department will show gratitude to military veterans with the launch of the “Thank A Veteran” initiative during the month of November. The BNPD also encourages citizens to give thanks to the men and women who served the country to ensure American freedoms.

In addition to showing gratitude to the veterans in the community, this initiative is a way for officers to get out of their patrol cars and meet various individuals throughout the community. BNPD officers and staff who are also military veterans will also be honored during this initiative.

Citizens can assist the “Thank A Veteran” initiative by informing the BNPD of a veteran to be profiled on our social media sites (including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) or to simply have an officer stop by and visit.
