On 1/4/15, at approximately 4:52 AM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to Tractor Supply (17318 I-30) to investigate a business alarm that had been activated.  Upon their arrival, officers found that a cable had been cut on merchandise located outside and that a log splitter had been stolen.

Officers immediately sent out information on the stolen log splitter to surrounding agencies in an attempt to locate them before they left the area.  We were notified shortly afterwards that officers with the Bryant Police Department had conducted a traffic stop on possible suspects in their jurisdiction.

Officers and detectives then responded to make contact with the suspects, later identified as Autumn Page (26 YOA) and William Rogers (55 YOA) of North Little Rock, and Johnnie Wigley (33 YOA) of England.  Based on information and evidence obtained during the investigation, all three suspects were taken into custody in relation to this incident and transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing.

Page, Rogers, and Wigley were all charged with Breaking or Entering, Theft of Property, Possession of an Instrument of Crime, Use of Another Person’s Property to Facilitate a Crime, and Criminal Mischief.  This is still an on-going investigation and additional charges could be forthcoming.
