TierenWatson-ArrestPictureOn 6/16/15, at approximately 9:52 PM, Tieren Watson was arrested in connection to a shooting that occurred on 6/13. Watson was taken into custody at the America’s Best Inn on Scott Hamilton Drive in Little Rock without incident.  

 

Watson’s capture was a result of the hard work and coordination of the Little Rock Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, the Department of Community Corrections Special Response Team, and the U.S. Marshal’s Service in conjunction with the Benton Police Department.  

 

Watson was transferred to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing without incident.  He is charged with Battery 1st Degree, 6 counts of Aggravated Assault, 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons (Felon).  This is still an on-going investigation and additional charges could be possible.  

 

The victim in the case is still in serious condition at a local hospital at this time.

On 6/13/15, at approximately 7:30 PM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the 200 block of Valley St. on report of a shooting.  While en-route to the call, officers were informed that an individual that had been shot was being transported to the emergency room.  

 

After speaking with the victim and witnesses, the suspect who allegedly shot the victim was identified as Tieren Watson (26 YOA) of Little Rock. According to them, Watson and another individual were involved in an argument whenever Watson started firing off rounds from a pistol resulting in one of them hitting the victim. The victim is still in an area hospital in critical condition.  

 

Based on information and evidence gathered, detectives obtained a warrant for Watson’s arrest for the following charges; Battery 1st Degree, 6 counts of Aggravated Assault, 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons (Felon).  This is still an on-going investigation and additional charges could be possible.  

 

Watson is believed to still be in the Central Arkansas area at this time.  He should be considered armed and dangerous, and anyone coming into contact with him should immediately contact police by dialing 911.
