AlbertGonzales1On 11/4/14, at approximately 6:53 AM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to a disturbance call at 1005 W. South Street. Upon their arrival, they made contact with the victim in the case who reported that she had been assaulted.  

 

The victim told officers she had been held captive and physically assaulted during the previous night.  She said the suspect, identified as Albert Gonzales (45 YOA) of Benton, also threatened her if she tried to get away from him and physically struck her to keep her from trying to leave.  The victim did have signs of injuries that were not life threatening.  

 

Contact was then made with Gonzales in relation to the case.  Based on information and evidence obtained, Gonzales was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Saline County Detention Facility.  

 

Gonzales is charged with Aggravated Assault on Family or Household Member, False Imprisonment, and Terroristic Threatening.  This is an on-going investigation and additional charged could be forthcoming.
