On 3/25/14, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to an address on W. Sevier Street on a welfare concern call. Upon their arrival, officers discovered information that led them to believe a crime had possibly occurred.
While conducting a follow-up in the case, detectives made contact later in the day with a subject possibly involved, Stephen Bradford (61 YOA). Contact was also made with a victim in the case who had severe physical injuries that required medical treatment. Subsequent investigation by detectives determined there was evidence to arrest Bradford for domestic battery.
Bradford was taken into custody without incident and is charged with 1st Degree Domestic Battery (Felony). This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be possible in the future.
