A stolen vehicle was recovered, bags of suspected marijuana and a suspect was taken into custody during a traffic stop. On 1/26/2015 at approximately 11:55 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle on the I-30 south service road for no license plate lights and for failure to stop at a stop sign.
Officers were notified that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Jacksonville. Officers also reported the odor of marijuana present in the vehicle. The driver, 33-year-old Marcus Jodell Abraham of Scott, Ark. was taken into custody. Officers seized two bags of suspected marijuana in the backseat of the vehicle.
Abraham is facing charges of felony Theft by Receiving, misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance, Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.
