A warrant sweep conducted by Benton Police Department detectives, with assistance from Benton Interstate Criminal Enforcement Patrol (BICEP) members, on Wednesday, June 22 resulted in the arrest of six suspects and two suspects being held by other law enforcement agencies. The warrant sweep, in the City of Benton and surrounding area, was planned to provide an extra presence on the street during the department’s #KidsFirst initiative.
Those arrested during the warrant sweep are:
• Teresa Renee Dempsey, 43, of Benton – (4 warrants) two counts of 2nd degree Forgery, felony; contempt-Theft of Property, misdemeanor; contempt-Suspended Driver’s License, misdemeanor; and contempt-Theft of Property, misdemeanor.
• Cody Tyler West, 23, of Haskell – (2 warrants) Criminal Possession of Forgery Device and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, both felonies.
• Tammy Janette Raschke, 41, of Alexander – (2 warrants) two counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, felony; and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, misdemeanor. Raschke was additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) for contraband found during the arrest.
• Michael Eugene Rorie, 39, of Benton – warrant for Aggravated Assault of Family Member, 1st degree Terroristic Threatening, and 3rd degree Domestic Battery.
• James Michael Warner, 55, of Benton – warrant for Aggravated Assault, felony.
The Garland County Detention Center has placed a hold on two suspects to be transferred to the Saline County Detention Center for outstanding warrants – Sarah Beth Rose, 27, of Benton for Failure to Appear; and Austin Glenn Wilkins, 25, of Benton for Theft of Property, felony. Additionally during the warrant sweep, a traffic stop for multiple traffic violations at Dalewood and Sunset led to the arrest of 34-year-old Eric Anthony Fox of Bauxite for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) with Intent to Deliver, felony; Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, felony; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, felony; Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons, felony; Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, misdemeanor; and Careless and Prohibited Driving.
