Information relayed between citizens and detectives with the Benton Police Department have led to the arrest of two men for connection to the recent theft of multiple vehicles from the Everett Pre-Owned dealership in Benton.
At about 2 a.m. Sunday, June 4, video surveillance cameras at Everett Pre-Owned on Military Road in Benton began picking up activity on the lot, which later led to the breaking and entering of the Everett building. Multiple keys were stolen from inside the building and later six vehicles were stolen off the lot. Photographs from the surveillance videos were posted on the Benton Police Department social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) on Monday, June 5.
On Tuesday, June 6, detectives received quality tips regarding the identity of the suspects and location of vehicles involved. Those tips led to the arrest of Cory Jay Garrison, 24, and 26-year-old Zachary Ryan Keltner, both of Little Rock. Garrison and Keltner are each facing charges of Commercial Burglary, class C felony; Theft of Property, class B felony; Criminal Mischief, class C felony; and two counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, class A misdemeanor.
This is an ongoing investigation. Additional charges and additional arrests are expected.
