Benton Police Department officers responded to the area of Ouachita Cove and Nature Way in the Woodlands neighborhood just after 1:15 a.m. Friday for reports of multiple breaking or entering incidents. Shortly after arrival, officers were able to make a felony traffic stop near the entrance of the neighborhood and arrested five individuals who were found in possession of four stolen firearms.
Nineteen-year-old Melton Brown, 20-year-old Avery McGill and 18-year-old Ken Kelly were each charged with one count of Breaking or Entering and two counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. Additional Breaking or Entering charges are pending. Two juveniles were each charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Minor and also have pending Breaking or Entering charges.
