A public hearing will be held at the Benton Police Department regarding a federal grant application for desktop computers. The hearing will be from 11:00-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 28 in the department’s training room.
The federal grant the department seeks is for $10,801 which would be used to replace aging desktop computers in the Criminal Investigations, Patrol and Narcotics divisions. The hearing will be open for the public to make comments on the proposed application and use of the grant funds. A resolution approving department personnel to apply for the grant is expected to be presented to the Benton City Council at 7 p.m. Monday, June 27 at the Benton Municipal Complex.
The Benton Police Department and Benton Municipal Complex are located at 114 S. East St. in Benton.
