MarcquestinWestDetectives with the Benton Police Department have identified Marcquestin West (30 YOA) of Little Rock as the suspect in the recent aggravated robbery at the Kum and Go (2202 Lincoln Road).  

 

Based on information and evidence obtained by detectives, they identified West as the suspect in the robbery that took place on 1/17/15. Information that led to his identification was obtained through a close working relationship with detectives with the Little Rock Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. 

 

West is currently incarcerated in the Jefferson County Detention Facility on other charges, but will eventually face extradition to Saline County.  Upon extradition, West will face Aggravated Robbery and Theft of Property charges.  This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be forthcoming.

Detectives with the Benton Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect related to a recent aggravated robbery case.

 

On 1/17/15, at approximately 12:32 AM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the Kum and Go convenience store (2202 Lincoln Rd.) on report of an aggravated robbery.  The clerk working at the store said a suspect came into the store and told him to give him all of his money or else he would kill him.  The suspect didn’t actually display a gun during the commission of the crime, but kept his hands in his pockets and alluded that he had one in his possession.  

 

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect then fled the area on foot.  The suspect is described as being a heavyset black male and was wearing a black and white “hoodie” and red shirt at the time of the crime.
