On 6/16/14, at approximately 4:16 PM , officers with the Benton Police Department responded to Malvern National Bank (1111 Military Road) on report of a robbery. Upon officers arrival it was determined that an actual robbery had occurred and the two robbers had fled the scene.
The two suspects entered the bank and then demanded money after displaying a pistol towards a clerk. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, both suspects then fled the bank on foot traveling towards the direction of Ferguson Drive.
One suspect was a white male who was wearing a mask that resembled the 'Mario Brothers' video game character. The other suspect was a white female suspect who was wearing dark colored sunglasses.
