Officer Notices Suspicious Vehicle Behind Business and Makes Two Arrests

On 9/20/13, at approximately 12:10 AM, an officer observed a vehicle driving from the rear of Williams Tire, which was closed. Given recent thefts from the business and the time of night, the officer then initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle to investigate further.

The officer made contact with the two occupants, later identified as Susan Wilson (49 YOA) and Ricky Couch (52 YOA), and spoke with them about their actions.  While speaking with them, the officer discovered illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and open containers of alcohol in their possession.

Wilson and Couch were subsequently placed under arrest for being in possession of these items.  After arriving at the Saline County Detention Facility, Wilson was also found to have suspected methamphetamine hidden on her.

Wilson was charged with Criminal Trespassing, Open Container, 2 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Use of Another Person’s Property to Facilitate a Crime, and Furnishing or Possessing Prohibited Articles in the Jail.  Couch was charged with Driving on a Suspended License, Criminal Trespassing, Open Container, 3 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Use of Another Person’s Property to Facilitate a Crime.
