Benton Police Department responded to a welfare concern call just after 2 a.m. Saturday at a Grayson Drive residence. Upon arrival, officers discovered 28-year-old Minnie Fernow of Benton deceased due to traumatic injuries.
Her husband, 28-year-old Nicholas Fernow, also of Benton, has been arrested and charged with Murder in the First Degree, a Class Y Felony. BNPD Criminal Investigations Division detectives have assumed the investigation, which remains ongoing. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
