SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY, FACING MULTIPLE CHARGES AFTER MULTI-AGENCY EFFORT

Benton Police Department responded to assist Bryant Police Department at approximately 3:30 p.m. Tuesday near Springhill Road in Bryant. Suspects Brittany Spades, 24, of Benton, and Timothy Hughes, 33, also of Benton, were taken into custody without incident and charged with multiple crimes.

Spades faces charges of Forgery 2nd, Forgery 1st, Theft of Property, Possession of a Forgery Device, Financial Identity Fraud, Fraudulent Use of a Debit/Credit Card, Shoplifting, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Hughes faces charges of Theft of Property and Fraudulent Use of a Debit/Credit Card. Both were wanted in a recent shoplifting incident occurring in Benton.

Spades has multiple warrants out of additional agencies. The investigations are ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
