CITIZENS, OFFICERS FOIL SUSPECTS ALLEGED BURGLARY ATTEMPT

Arrests 4 SMALLLLLLLLLLCitizen calls led to the arrest of four suspects allegedly attempting to burglarize a vacant house. At approximately 2:09 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, officers responded to 504 E. Sevier Street after receiving calls of suspects attempting to break into the home.

Upon arrival, officers noticed two people, later identified as 30-year-old Harold Dewayne Johnson of Benton and 28-year-old Sarah E. Miller of Benton, going in and out of the home carrying items. During a search officers also located 33-year-old Louis Frank Miller of Benton and 53-year-old Raymond Lester Wooten inside the home.

The suspects claimed they had permission to be on the property to pick up an RV and they were looking for a manual inside the home. The owner of the property was contacted and told officers that no persons were given permission to be on the property or permission to take the RV.

All four suspects were taken into custody and each face a charge of Residential Burglary, a class B felony. Wooten additionally was served a warrant for Contempt of Court.
