BNPD LAUNCHES ‘SALUTING OUR HEROES’ INITIATIVE

veterans dayIn recognition of veterans residing in the community, the Benton Police Department (BNPD) is launching the ‘Saluting Our Heroes’ Initiative during the month of November. The ‘Saluting Our Heroes’ Initiative was created as a way to say thank you to veterans living in the community and to salute them for their service to our country.

The idea of this initiative is loosely centered around the Veteran’s Day holiday that is recognized every November.  In addition to paying tribute to the veterans in the community, both living and deceased, this initiative is a way for officers to get out of their patrol cars and meet various individuals throughout the community.

In addition to veterans living in the community, the ‘Saluting Our Heroes’ Initiative will also pay respect and honor some of our officers who are also veterans.  The officers, along with some information about their military service, will be featured as a way of telling them thank you for their service to the community.

If you or somebody you know is a veteran living in Benton, you are encouraged to contact us at 501-778-1171 and we will make every attempt to have an officer stop by and visit.  You may also contact us about this initiative through our free official BNPD app found on the Apple and Google stores.
