BNPD SEARCHING FOR ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT

New BNPD Logo Transparent with white glow MAR TXTOn 5/10/15, at approximately 9:01 AM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the Shell Superstop (16824 I-30) on report of an aggravated robbery that had just occurred.  Upon their arrival, they made contact with the clerk who informed them they had just been robbed at gun point. 
 
According to the clerk, the suspect came into the store and pointed a handgun at her and demanded money.  After taking the money, the suspect fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. 
 
The clerk described the robbery suspect as being a black male in his 20’s, approximately 5’ 7” tall, 170 lbs., goatee, and wearing glasses.  At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a gray striped long sleeve shirt and a gray ball cap.  Additional information will be shared if it becomes available, including pictures and video.
