nicholsryliesquires1On 4/6/15, at approximately 7:02 PM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to a disturbance call at 1620 Huntley Street.

Upon their arrival, officers made contact with the resident who told them he had been involved in an argument with another person there, who was identified as Christy Nichols (42 YOA) of Benton.  Officers then spoke with Nichols and another suspect, identified as Dusten Rylie (26 YOA) of Benton, about the disturbance.

During the course of their investigation, officers discovered a needle in Nichols' possession that was loaded with suspected Methamphetamine.  Subsequent investigation led to the discovery of a small plastic bag of suspected Methamphetamine in Nichols' possession and also two needles, a small plastic bag of suspected Methamphetamine, and a small amount of suspected Marijuana in Rylie's possession.

Smith St. and Jefferson Street.  The vehicle initially didn't stop and as it drove the officer observed the occupants throw a plastic baggy out of the car.

The car finally stopped in the 500 block of Jefferson St. and officers made contact with the the driver, Rusty Squires (34 YOA) of Benton, and three other occupants.  One of the occupants, Jason McCaslin (33 YOA) of Bryant, was found to have an outstanding warrant out of the Saline County Sheriff's Office and was placed under arrest for it.
