SUSPECT ARRESTED BY BNPD OFFICERS FOR NUMEROUS PROPERTY CRIMES

RandalonDannerOn 12/27/14, at approximately 9:34 am, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Hwy 35 S. on a report of a theft from a vehicle call.  They made contact with a victim who reported his wallet, containing numerous personal articles such as credit cards, stolen along with some medication.  
 
Officers then spoke with a neighbor who witnessed a suspicious individual in the area earlier in the day.  While searching the area for a possible suspect, officers located an individual inside a nearby business who matched the description provided by the witness.  
 
The suspect, identified as Randalon Danner (31 YOA) of Benton, was found to be in possession of some of the stolen items from this case and also items from other open theft investigations.  Danner was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and a pipe commonly used to ingest it. Based on evidence and information they obtained, Danner was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing.  
Danner was charged with Breaking or Entering, Theft of Property, 4 counts of Theft by Receiving, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be forthcoming as it continues.
