On 12/25/14, at approximately 2:30 am, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the area of Stonewall Dr. on report of a resident in area observing a suspicious person in the area trying to open car doors. Upon officers’ arrival, they located a subject walking in the area of Palimino Drive that matched the description given by the caller. They made contact with the individual, identified as Kenneth Allison (24 YOA) of Little Rock, who gave officers conflicting stories about what he was doing in the area. A wallet that was reported stolen from a vehicle in the area was found in close proximity to Allison and he was positively identified by the original caller as the suspect seen trying to open car doors.
Allison was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing without incident. Allison was charged with Breaking or Entering and Theft of Property. This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be possible.
