BNPD DETECTIVES CHARGE SUSPECT WITH 114 COUNTS OF VIOLATION OF ORDER OF PROTECTION

TimothyKevinLongOn 10/27/14, officers with the Benton Police Department met with a victim in reference to a possible violation of an order of protection.  The victim reported the suspect, identified as Timothy Kevin Long (41 YOA) of Mayflower, had violated the terms of an order of protection.
 
Detectives then assumed the investigation and determined there was information and evidence that indicated Long had violated the order of protection 114 times.  The violations consisted of numerous attempts made by Long to contact the victim, which was in violation of the terms set forth in the order of protection.  
 
An arrest warrant was issued for Long and he was subsequently arrested by detectives on 11/14/14.  Long is charged with 114 counts of Violation of an Order of Protection, Stalking, and Harassing Communications.  He is currently incarcerated in the Saline County Detention Facility awaiting a bond hearing.  
 
This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be forthcoming as it continues.
