On 1/20/14, at approximately 12:22 PM, officers responded to the Cedarwood Inn on report of an aggravated robbery that took place. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the alleged victim in the case, Akerion Warren (30 YOA). Warren told officers that a suspect had walked into his room at the hotel and robbed him at gunpoint. Upon further investigation, officers were able to determine that no crime had taken place. Subsequently, Warren was placed under arrest for fabricating the story.
Warren is charged with Filing a False Report, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The narcotic related charges stem from a pipe found in his possession that is commonly used to smoke illegal drugs and from a substance found that is suspected methamphetamine.
