Detectives Investigating Arson at Local Church

  On 9/5/13, at approximately 1:20 PM, officers were dispatched to Midtowne Church on Boone Road for a report of a criminal mischief.  Upon their arrival, it was determined there was evidence of arson present.  

 
    The investigation revealed that somebody had thrown a rock through a window of the church and threw two bottles of flammable liquids against the same window.  One of the bottles exploded outside the church and the other one allowed part of the flaming liquid to make it inside the church causing some minor damage.  
 
 
    This incident took place sometime during the overnight hours of 9/4/13 to 9/5/13.  We are asking for anybody who witnessed anything out of the ordinary near the church to please contact us with the information.  We can be reached at 778-1171 or 315-TIPS, and individuals may also send an anonymous tip to CRIMES (274637) with the keyword BNPD in the body of the text or go to www.crimereports.com and submit a tip there.
