Suspect Arrested for Aggravated Assault and Other Felonies

On 9/13/13, at approximately 8:18 PM, officers responded to S. Summit Road on report of a possible disturbance.  It was later determined the parties involved in the disturbance on S. Summit had traveled to an address on S. East Street where officers made contact with them.

They made contact with the victim in the case and she informed officers that the suspect, later identified as William Taylor (36 YOA), had caused physical harm to her during a disturbance earlier.  It was determined the victim did have some injuries as a result of the altercation, but did not need medical attention at that time.

At the time of the disturbance there were also children present during the physical altercation.  Taylor is alleged to have also been involved in a physical disturbance with one of the children during this incident.

Officers made contact with Taylor at the residence and after an investigation he was subsequently placed under arrest.  Taylor was charged with Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threatening 2nd Degree, Battery 3rd Degree, Domestic Battery 3rd Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest.
