Home Invasion Robbery Suspect Arrested-Additional Suspects Still Being Sought

On 10/20/13, at approximately 1:50 AM, officers responded to Fountain Lake Apartments (3011 Congo Rd.) in regards to a loud music complaint.  Shortly after arriving on-scene, officers were informed of a possible disturbance at another apartment and proceeded there.

Upon their arrival at the apartment, they attempted to make contact with the resident inside.  While outside the apartment, officers heard a second story window open and then saw suspects fleeing from the building.  The officers gave chase and one of the suspects, identified as Ryan Walker (23 YOA), was apprehended a short time later by a deputy from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office who was assisting.

During the investigation it was determined that multiple suspects forced their way into the apartment at gunpoint.  The suspects then robbed the victim of an undisclosed amount of personal items and money.  Due to officers arriving during the act, the suspects left behind most of the stolen items before jumping out of the second story window to escape.
Walker is charged with Aggravated Residential Burglary, Aggravated Robbery, Theft of Property, Fleeing on Foot, False Imprisonment, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  This is an on-going investigation and detectives are diligently working on leads in the case to apprehend the other suspects that were involved.  Additional information will be forthcoming as it becomes available.
