BNPD BEGINS ‘MAY WE HELP YOU?’ INITIATIVE

MayWeHelpYouTransparentSMALLThe duties of Benton Police Department officers and civilian staff are expansive with much of the focus on protecting citizens, but we are also here to serve the public. This month the BNPD initiative is “May We Help You?” to provide the public with multiple resourceful programs.

Programs the BNPD will provide to the public includes, but it not limited to, website links and cellphone applications – to protect citizen’s valuables; assist first responders and dispatchers with essential information about the citizen in the event of an emergency; for citizens to assist law enforcement officers with valuable information to locate missing children or adults; how to search for offenders in custody in their community; viewing of where sex offenders live in the area; and even a social network that will the enable BNPD to communicate with residents privately and securely, or for neighbors to communicate with each other. The programs are designed to protect citizens and their valuables, and to save lives.

Along with providing information to the public via social media, the BNPD will also hand out an assortment of informational pamphlets, fliers, and brochures, which are also available inside the BNPD lobby.
