TRAFFIC STOP NETS DWI AND PAROLE CHARGES FOR SUSPECT

AlfredTuggle1On 1/4/15, at approximately 2:07 AM, an officer with the Benton Police Department observed a vehicle traveling at high rate of speed on I-30 eastbound near the 118 exit. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, but it didn’t stop and proceeded to speed up.

As they neared the I-30 124 mile marked, the suspect vehicle abruptly pulled over and came to a stop.  Officers then made contact with the driver, identified as Alfred Tuggle (43 YOA) of Little Rock, who informed them he had an active warrant for parole revocation.  Additional information and evidence also suggested that Tuggle was driving while intoxicated and he was taken into custody for it and the active warrant.

Tuggle is charged with Fleeing, Reckless Driving, DWI, and also an active warrant out of the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections.  This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be possible.
