OFFICERS INVESTIGATE SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE AND ARREST TWO FOR FELONY DRUG CHARGES

On 12/24/14, at approximately 11:56 pm, patrol officers with the Benton Police Department observed a suspicious vehicle at the Military Mini Storage business (1209 Military Rd.) with its lights out.  Officers then initiated contact with the driver and a passenger, identified as Robert Reeder (31 YOA) of Haskell and Paul Colony (38 YOA) of Benton.  
 
After a check of their identification, it was determined that both Reeder and Colony had active warrants out for their arrest.  Officers also located suspected Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia during the course of the investigation.  Reeder and Colony were both placed under arrest and transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing without incident.  
 
Reeder was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance-Felony (Methamphetamine), Possession of Controlled Substance-Misdemeanor (Marijuana), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Marijuana grinder and pipe), and an outstanding warrant.  Colony was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance-Felony (Methamphetamine) and an outstanding warrant.  
 
This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be possible.
