TWO ARRESTED FOR CRACK COCAINE POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO SELL

On 12/3/14, detectives with the Benton Police Department’s Special Investigative Unit served a search warrant at 712 Lillian St. #1 in relation to illegal narcotics trafficking.  
 
During a search of the residence, detectives found 6.2 grams of suspected crack cocaine and items used to package and sell it.  Two suspects were located at the residence, Louis Payne (58 YOA) and Lillie Hill (57 YOA), and they were taken into custody without incident.  
 
Both Payne and Hill are charged with Maintaining a Drug Premises, Possession within Proximity to Certain Facilities, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  The Proximity to Certain Facilities charge is an enhancement and is due to being within 1000’ of a church located nearby.  
 
This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be forthcoming as it continues.
